Happy Birthday maomao! =D

It's maomao's birthday today! Technically, it was the day we brought maomao home but who's to know? His real birthday just might be today!

Birthday Boy

We've been really bad people. We haven't updated the blog for a loooooonnnnggggg time. Lazy ass maomao just refuses to learn how to type properly. If he'd been a little more dilligent, he'd be doing the blog by his own self without my supervision or help. Tsk. I think qwerty is just about the only word he knows now.

Anyhoos, we celebrated his birthday in a simple fashion. No balloons, Bobo the clown nor a meaningless buffet spread. We made him a simple party hat complete with tassles and he had an ice-cream cum yoghurt cake! He loves ice-cream and yoghurt.

When the photos came out, we realised that everything in it or on him was pink. It was purely coincidental, we swear! But he did eat up most of the strawberry yoghurt (which happens to be pink) rather than the vanilla ice-cream. =O

Oh well, who cares if he's got a preferance for pink stuff. We love him anyway! *squishy the maomao*

Tissue Box

Let me introduce you to a new cat term. I call it the tissue box. Well, cos it looks like one! Just imagine pulling out your tissue paper from behind his back. I photographed my dog once with a tissue paper (like it was being pulled out) on her back. It was adorable. But of course, my subject remained still long enough for me to capture the shot.

I think most(?) animals pose like this once in awhile and I absolutely love it. They keep their front paws beneath their body, nicely tucked under. Looks like some compacted furry stuffed toy which I've conveniently named tissue box.

Fancy Pants. ^^

Every afternoon, I come home to a cat who sleeps on the sofa, limbs outstretched. We're beginning to wonder if he is feline or marsupial. He can pass off as a kangaroo any day in that position. The big feet and saggy stomach are suspicious. Maybe he'll do just that for Halloween!

In the meantime, below are some considerations for Halloween costumes. Maomao superstar must be ready for all occasions!
