It's just a blog. It's about an ordinary everyday cat. He is maomao.

wet cat

The maoster's owner has taken ill lately. Debilitated by some strange ailment by the name of Bell's Palsy. What began as an ear-ache became a viral infection which attacked the nerve within my ear cavity which resulted in the loss of muscular control over the entire right side of my face. In short, I look somewhat spastic, complete with drool and a non-blinking eye.

It's an embarrassing condition. And I'm trying to prove my point.

But this is not funny. I'll leave the maoster to show you what's funny. maomao taking a bath is . I don't know if you've experienced a cat who's taken a bath. The funny bits begin only after the bath, not before. I'm considering uploading video clips of the maoster (if this website allows) to show you how he flicks his arms and legs one by one to get excess water off him. Imagine those rotary spinning thingies in your cake mixer. Yup. Perhaps I should bake after his bath.

He hates me.

Dancing With Dolphin

I don't know if the maoster has been watching "So You Think You Can Dance?" secretly because recently, some intriguing behaviour was noticed and captured. Woohoo! for those of you maoster fans who have asked for more photos of him in action. Woohoo! for me because he's supposed to be a source of amusement, isn't he?

The maoster spots a potential dance partner

And the cha-cha begins

Dancing doesn't seem to be on the dolphin's agenda

So, the scaring begins

wheeeeee.....!

And when the scaring just doesn't cut it,

the maoster resorted to magic.

If a dolphin can do a nose-stand, surely it can levitate?

P/S: For the many mao-folks who have written in to ask if all these things that the maoster has been doing is bullsh*t, we'd like to clarify once and for all, that no stunt double has been hired for any purpose whatsoever. He is that talented. Ha. Besides, we have no money to pay for a double.

maomao's constant source of irritation

Who is that one person with a head big enough to wear a hat like that? (Read: the person who decided to blog about her cat. Who else?!)

Ahem.

I realised its not easy to capture the maoster doing stuff when you want him to. He's not always cooperative and not always obedient. Worse, he doesn't respond to treats! Yikes! Maybe I gotta stop thinking that maomao 'IS' a dog and try to focus on treating him like a cat instead. Even the mynah which perched on my kitchen window trying to incite the maoster into doing a bungee without a cord realises that. So I should too. *purrrrrrrrr* *scratches sofa* *passing motion with the look of absolute concentration*

paparazzi shot

Lovely.

the maoster looks kinda miffed. I wonder why?
