Fondly Remembered...

Dear all,

Some of you might remember this creature - cream coloured, sealpoint, big blue eyes, small crooked teeth, black face and a nasty temper.

He loved to swipe and bite and not let go even when you're screaming in pain. He's the master of the house, ruler of the humans. He's trained my mom so well to wake up for feeds in the morning. It's futile to resist because he'd jump on your belly and walk all over it. He's not afraid of being spanked and doesn't mind his tail being pulled. He's notorious for hogging the bed (lying horizontally across so you don't get any turning space) gnawing my sister's legs and made his throne on my dad's really expensive chair.

Mr Fish was dearly loved. And now, sorely missed...

Mr Fish when he was a tiny baby. He could literally fit in the palm of your hand.

Where's the fish??

Siamese are supposed to be a tad cross-eyed?
I'm not sure but I was told.
Fish did seem a little cross-eyed at times. @_@

He looked a wee bit grumpy in this one. Loved his eyes.

This was one of those rare occasions when we actually caught Fish sitting properly so that a decent photo could be taken.

I could go on... Another time, perhaps. Plenty of Fish anecdotes to go around.

Catnap

What I haven't managed to capture so far is the maoster doing a funny stunt while asleep. Mr Fish use to do it A LOT. Cat owners will know what I mean when I say that cats really have a variety of sleeping poses. Us humans are boring. We are either foetal, side, back or front. A cat can do that and a thousand more! Except maybe levitate. Maybe they've mastered the art because they sleep like 16-18 hours a day. And they don't wake up feeling groggy and falling over things. Talk about power naps. I am envious!

Watch the mao sleep.

On the couch, hugging the cushion...

On a box...

At the scratching post...

In the day...

And at night...

ZZzzZZZzzZZzZZzZZzzzZZzzZzzZZzZzZzZzzzZZz..... Sweet dreams, people. ;)

Blow Me! =O

Oh my goodness, what's wrong with me?? This is a family website. Pardon the title, no pun intended. Seriously, do I care? Nah. I bet the maoster doesn't either. He's illiterate for crying out loud! >=] He should be glad that some human is even writing about him!

Anyhoos. I wish I had more time. More time to sleep, eat a bucketful of ice-cream while watching tv, stalk people's blogs, shop & chat online and to update this friggin blog! I think I spent my time rather wisely in other aspects... like learning how to make balloon animals and in so doing, overcoming my fear of balloons! Woohoo! I will never forget my first poodle... I'm displeased with the fact that they have all sorts of dogs in instructional books but NONE of cats! Do balloon makers/sculpters not love cats??

I was trying to make a bee but I think this looked nothing like what was in the instructional book. It's far better! Who wants a lame bee when you can have a springy-hat-thingy! However, if you stare hard enough and long enough, you might just see the bee POP! Just like 3D pictures!

I tried showing the 3D 'bee' to maomao but I don't think he appreciates 3D art.

I am thinking that's how the balloon 'bee' must've looked like to the maoster.

I didn't succeed in sculpting a bee. But I did make a maomao quite scared.
